If I had wings

If I had wings to soar up to the sky,
I would fly to the Heavens to be by Your side.

If I had wings to soar way up to the clouds,
I would fly right in Your arms where I could never be found.

If I had wings to take me to the ends of the earth,
I would fly by Your side and never let You go.

If I had wings to fly to Your throne,
would You catch me and always keep me safe?

If I had wings I would fly so High to the sky,
Your Love would never let me go.

If I had wings forever more,
I would fly up to the heavens and the farthest seashore!

  1. Lovely poem: Like these words: “If I had wings to soar way up to the clouds,
I would fly right in Your arms where I could never be found.” Truely in the arms of the Lord is the place to be, wrapped inside of His love and beauty. Thanks so much for stopping by My Journal of Praise and liking posts. God Bless.

  3. Beautiful prose, Sis, it is so good to read your posts again and especially your poetry. Don’t know if you remember, but I have always LOVED poetry of any thing inspired and encouraging. Beautiful poem indeed. God bless abundantly, sis!

  4. Betty,
Lovely poem. Do you still write poetry? I pray you’ll have many moments this year when you fly on wings to the safe haven of our Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer! Thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving a like. It’s great to meet you. I pray you’ll be blessed many times over in this coming year.
